Radical Minds- Ka Joog/Poet Nation |

Poet Nation is showing a short documentary about what they found on their trip to the Dadaab Refugee Camp at the Ka Joog Radical Minds Youth Conference on Monday, September 19th from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Cedar Cultural Center, located at 416 Cedar Ave S near the Cedar Riverside Plaza.
The core objective of this event is a discussion between the audience and a selective panels. The selective panel is made of representatives from the Hennepin Sheriff Department, St. Paul Police Department, Eden Prairie Police Department, Todd Jones – U.S. Attorney – MN, Youth Activist, and Ka Joog Members. Our guest are invited to voice their concerns on issues such as radicalization, violence and international issues such as the famine in East Africa. This will be an event to stretch the mental capacity of the youth to understand how these issues and controversial topics affect them in every aspect of their young lives. We will also have a presentation about the famine and a poetry reading. |
